Check the pins on HDMI cable at both ends. Check for bent or broken pins. If all are OK, re insert firmly. Retry

Denon dvd 1940 problem. All funcion is ok, but audio impul not works? but

Check all connections from the DVD player to your amplifier/receiver and TV. Make sure the audio cables are securely connected at both ends.
Try connecting the DVD player to another amplifier/audio system using different cables to isolate if the issue is with the player or cables.
Check the audio settings on the DVD player - make sure audio output is enabled and set to an appropriate format like PCM or Bitstream. Go through the audio setup menu and reset to factory defaults.
Make sure the volume on the DVD player is turned up and not muted/very low. Try different audio tracks on a DVD movie to test.
If connected digitally via HDMI, try swapping to analog RCA connections instead. Or vice versa.
Try playing audio CDs to see if the issue only affects DVD movies or all audio.
Make sure the audio on the disks themselves are okay by testing in another player.
If there was a power surge or electrical issue, the audio circuits could have been damaged. A repair service may be needed.
As a last resort, perform a factory reset or firmware update on the DVD player.

I cannot link to my Onkyo with my cable provider (only sound, no image). All my other HDMI sources work perfectly. I see the word digital under the CBL option, but not the others...

Hello Julie, what model of Onkio do you have?
What the CBL option indicates is that it is linked to the digital audio input, you have to enter the Onkio menu and select CBL via HDMI
Send the model of your Onkio, to review and confirm what you say
I hope you can solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil

HDMI port lost audio

If two HDMI use the other one or if box has component outs use that instead of the one HDMI that does not work.

It is also possible this is a known issue with this set and it is even possible the problem lies with the direct box----reboot it to see if it cures the issue.

Unable to connect a blu ray dvd player to onkyo tx-sr605 via hdmi

Not sure what unable to connect means..but I will assume you have the correct cable.

First make sure you have plugged the from the HDMI cable from the DVD play into the IN 1 HDMI port on the back of your Onkyo

On the Receiver
Enter the Setup mode
Select INPUT OUTPUT ASSIGN
Next make sure the HDMI monitor out is set to YES on the Receiver
Monitor out
HDMI Monitor - YES

Next you need to assign the HDMI INPUT to DVD
Select INPUT OUTPUT ASSIGN
HDMI INPUT
DVD - IN1
CBL/SAT - IN2

This may be your issue.

Next step would be to verify your television input settings.

Nice receiver!

Best of luck!

Intermittent sound with cbl/sat. Sometimes sound

Your receiver is HDMI version 1.1,1.2 or 1.2a and just don't work with anything to be honest with you. It's an HDCP (copyright Issue) and 5v pass thru issue. and the list goes on. If you can, just run HDMI directly to the TV and optical or Digital Coaxial to your receiver for audio and all will be well again. If you need more help, just post a comment and I will gladly help some more

Denon AVR-488 , problems routing cable box through receiver to tv

If you don't have one, the manual is available online: http://static.highspeedbackbone.net/pdf/AVR-488-OM-E_101.pdf

Suggestions:

1. Reset to default values. Per page 36 of manual: 1. Turn off Power. 2. Press Power while simultaneously pressing Speaker A and Speaker B. 3. Once the display starts flashing at intervals of about 1 second, release the two buttons.

2. Make sure you have AM or FM radio reception. This makes sure your speakers, amps, etc are connected and working correctly.

3. Connect DVD player to HDMI 1 in and TV to HDMI Monitor Out.
Play a known good DVD that works when you connected the DVD directly to the TV via HDMI.

Select the DVD/HDP input on the receiver and play the DVD. You should not have to perform any input assignments, etc. It should just work, as HDMI1 is the default system setting for DVD.

4. If possible, obtain a STB with HDMI out & repeat step 3 using the HDMI2 TV/CBL input. Keeping the signal path all digital (HDMI) will give you a better picture quality than forcing several analog to digital conversions (component video is analog).

4A. To use the component connection, first test by connecting the STB directly to the TV via component video/audio if possible. This tests that the component video output of the STB is working correctly.

Next, remove direct connection and connect via receiver. Connect STB to receiver as shown on page 13 in manual. Connect component video output from STB to component video input #2 (tv/cbl) on receiver. Connect the STB audio output to the corresponding tv/cbl audio inputs.

Make sure nothing is connected to the HDMI2 input or to any other TV/CBL inputs (composite video, s-video, digital coax audio).

Now select the TV/CBL input and turn on the STB. You should have both audio & video.

Hi' I have a Denon 3910 that is connected to an Infocus Projector via HDMI out on the Denon to DVI on the Infocus(One end of the lead is HDMI the other DVI) .problem has always been without the projector...

You can try this reset method, if it doesn't work it will probably need service by a professional. Remeber that all setting will be lost, make sure you know them so you can put them back in after you are finished.

At the player stop condition,
press 3 buttons for DVD operation
(“PLAY”,”OPEN/CLOSE”, and “ SKIP”) until
“INITIALIZE” appears and disappears in the display.
(“Initialized” appears and disappears on the TV screen.)
******All user setting will be lost and its factory setting will be
restored when this initialization is made. Be sure to memorize
your setting for restoring again after the initialization
