My charger had broken, and i attempted to splice the wires back. A spark occured on power up and shorted something, could it be the battery? the motherboard doesn't seem to be burnt or anything obvious... i haven't ran a meter on it yet though...My charger had broken, and i attempted to splice the wires back. Check memory sticks (one at a time in different slots) and Remove battery, and power cable. Keep power button pressed for 5 min then insert only power cable and try to turn on
If thelaptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.
Allow 1hour to charge it, if did not charge check the input & output of the charger if its properly insert, if not again off your notebook & charge it, always check if it is charging, Note: Charging test try on, off, & unuse it allow to full charge the battery before using..avoid low bat your battery when using.
Did ur laptop works or turn on when u plug the adaptor charger?
If ur laptop turns on when the charger is pluged in, u got problem with ur DYiNG BATTERY!
Better buy a brand new battery!
Hi, the problem is you cant without buying a new battery but what they dont tell you and should tell you is this.
when your using your notebook off the mains you should remove the battery as this keeps it working at its best only use the battery when you need to and after give it a full charge then leave it out whilst you use the notebook on the mains.
leaving the battery in will sap the life out of the battery and you will end up needing a new battery every few months as it just wont hold the charge as it did when new.
let me know if you need further assistance ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
Take the Battery back Its defective , New batteries should charge for 18-24 hours, and the computer should tell u that it wont run till the battery is fully charged.
Better you first charge the battery for 16 to 17 hours and recheck the same. If problem persists, change the battery from where you bought it. that battery is faulty. And yes there is no need to install the battery from device manager. Just open the battery compartment and replace the battery with new one.
