I would recommend you to go to the sandisk site to update the firmware on your device or you can contact sandisk to they can help you with updating the firmware on your device..I think the reason you are getting that screen is because you have formatted it under my computer...next time you want to format it use the windows media player instead.

How do you reform a Sansa E280E MP3 player. video files stored is corrupted and unable to be deleted through normal means.

Hello there...

To format your mp3 player please do the following

Connect one end of the USB cable to your player and the other end to an open USB port on your computer. Your computer will recognize the new device.

Double-click "My Computer" on the desktop. You will see your Sansa e280 player's icon listed as a removal disk together with other hard drives on your computer.

Right-click the Sansa e270 icon. Scroll down and click "Format." When the format window opens, click "Start." The formatting will erase any current information on the drive. Depending on the memory capacity, it could be a quick process or take a little longer.

I hope this solves your problem,,,

How to add 8gb memory card in sandisk sansa e270

You have a v1 unit and the maximum is 2GB MicroSD unless you install a different firmware called Rockbox. Then you can load the MicroSDHC cards in your computer and play them in the Sansa.

My Sansa e270 Will Turn On Then When It Starts Loading It Will Get 3/4 Of The Way Then It Goes To A Black Screen. What Do I Do?

try this...

1 put on hold and hold record button while u turn on (your sansa is now in recovery mode)
2 connect your sansa to your comp via usb cable a box should show up saying the firmware version
3 close the window and disconnect your sansa (it will restart)

if that doesnt fix your problem try this...

1 connect your sansa to comp via usb cable
2 right click start on windows desktop go to explore
3 scroll down to your sansa's drive rifght click it go to properties
4 go to tools tab and click "check now" under error checking will take awhile and will erase your memory on the sansa but it will probably work again
