I was running my Toshiba Satellite A135-S2376 when the screen completely froze. The cursor wouldn't move, and I could not restart the computer with control-alt-delete. I held the power button until it turned off, but when I tried to turn it back on, the green power light would come on, as would the orange light in the CD/DVD drive, but the screen was entirely black, as if the computer weren't active. I tried running the battery out and recharging it, but the same problem continues. I didn't detect any unusual heat or smell before the screen froze. I'm still under warranty if all else fails, but I'd like to resolve this on my own.

Just bought Satellite C875D-S7101 ad cursor frozen upon log-in. This is happening after second day of usage. There are no unresponsive programs listed under Task Manager either. Should I also try removing battery for 3 days? It sounds llike Laptop is defective. Or should I return and get an i3 instead. Does that have anything to do with it?e
By the way, after logging in I am able to navigate through apps on screen with arrow buttons and open apps but cursor still remains frozen. Help!
