Problem with HP computer, help me please!

My HP Pavilion Entertainment PC Laptop won't work. I had an application running, did not realize the battery power was out, and the computer turned black. I plugged it in and I turned it back on, and it said "Resuming Windows" or something like that. My application was restored, but I could not get ex out of it or start another program. I turned the computer off again, and then turned it back on. The screen was all black, but all the little blue lights were lit and the "on" light was lit, too. The moniter was still black. I repeated this process, but no luck with the moniter. I tried unplugging it and it still did not work. I also tried removing the battery and putting it back in. That did not work, either. If you know what to do, please help me! I really need this computer. Help!

I have the same problem with my new HP Pavilion Entertainment laptop. It froze on startup when I double clicked on Firefox before startup was complete. After it froze, I did ctrl-alt-del, but nothing happened, so I turned it off manually. Then I tried to turn it on again, but the screen stays black. The blue lights are all on.

I tried that, the additional monitor had the normal "can't detect connection" message, then the second i plugged it into the laptop it turned black. So i know its my laptop, it works, but its just like locked up or something because it is sending a message to the monitor.

The blue LED lights are on, but none of the buttons work. They are frozen. The mute button is on, but when i click it, nothing happens.

Hey, i just fixed the problem i had. All you have to do is:

    Turn off the laptop.

    Take out the battery.

Unplug everything (even the ac wall adapter)

Hold the power button for 10 seconds to drain all residual power

Connect the ac adapter again, and voila. Its fixed :)

If that doesn't fix it, then it might be a more serious problem. Which they also help you with here.

Hi. I have a HP laptop pavilon dv 4t Entertainment pc. frequently its interactive log on process fail. Also it seems too slow to boot and I think in all processes it is slow working while its fan works...

the is overheating, ever get the lent cleaned out.
all CPUs run slower if overheated, all do, or halt. of too bad.
run it with no battery yet, see if all is ok, first.?
batteries are #1 failure point items.
no pc can run too long, and not pack full of lent.
why not just get the PC serviced by a tech, he knows all this magic.
cleans it, tests it, etc..
