Hello,The motor mounting are usually the tensional method for the drum belt. You need a socket set to take the motor off and replace.Don't over tension the belt as it will ruin the bearings in the drum and motor. You should be able to deflect the belt by half an inch in the middle of its longest run with medium thumb pressure.Watch out for sharp edges on the cabinet when heaving on a bolt.

Thanks

My Hoover Elite 1210 toploading washing machine seems to make a horrible off balance sound on the spin cycle - even when there is a small load on. What can I do to fix it?

Could be bearings or more likely the concrete weight at the bottom of the drum is loos give it a shake from under to check...Good luck

Bra wire's trapped between inner and outer drum,

If you cant pull wire out from inner drum with long nose pliers, Remove heating element and use torch to inspect bottom of washer. Most of the time the obstruction makes its way to the bottom. Use whatever tool necessary to remove spring.
