I can not find my manual and I don't know how to increase the number of rings to the max number. Please tell me how and also I can get a replacement manual.

What type of phone is this? Most home phones have a setting in them to adjust the number of rings. Retrieving voice mails requires the voice mail be set up first. To assist you further, please provide more details.
You will have to go through the programing button. You know the one you hit and it tells you the time the dat and how many rings etc. re program it for the max rings it will allow usually only 4 but maybe yours will do 7 Not sure, If you have the manual it will tell you. You should always keep manuals to everything you but, just throw them into a bag somewhere at leastyou'll have them when you need them I usually keep a pair of reading glasses in the bag too. the default setting is 5 rings. if you need to change that:
set the ring to answer to higher number, however, that will put the machine in manual answering of fax.
the better setting is to rest the phone or the answer machine to a lower number of rings.
