Picture wont come on after plugging it in and turning it on
I assume that you have tried to start it using the buttons on the tv also, not just the remote.
There can be a lot of problems that would cause that - to test which is the one you will have to open the rear panel and test some components using a multimeter.
Start by checking that the power cord is intact and the fuse isn't burned - use an ohmmeter. Then check that the power source's capacitors are in working order - no bulging or leaking. Finally test the voltages in and out of the power source.
Beware, there are lethally high tensions in there, if you don't have even the smallest experience in electronics you should leave that to a professional, you can do a lot of damage and hurt yourself by touching something you shouldn't.
