Sounds like you have a defrost Prob. Take back cover off. Turn defrost timer in to defrost mode you will feel a click. timer may be located in fridge. ceiling or back wall if not there check bottom of fridge. behind kick plate or in back bottom of fridge. by compressor. See if heating element gets hot if not check for 120 volts at heater and defrost thermostat ( Terminator ) if not check defrost timer if you do have 120 volts check for 120 volts at heater terminals if no voltage or weak voltage replace terminator if you do have good voltage replace heating element. When ice builds up the fridge. starts to get warm turn off for 24hrs turn back on fridge. will run OK till ice builds back up.

Check you've not accidentally put it on fast freeze, and the thermostat setting is not too high. Next check condenser is clear and clean. Lastly, check any fans are still working ok.

Why my fridge keeps icing up while the freezer is ok

generally speaking the fridge is not frost free whilst the freezer is.you can reduce the amount of frost by checking door seals are tight to frame/drains are clean and free of s..t and ensuring food/drink is covered to cut down on condensation.if you have a seperate thermostat set it to +5C.

Fridge Icing up on N1B Candy frost free fridge freezer

How to check everything
http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php
If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.

Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

The freezer compartment on my fridge keeps icing up over a couple of months. How can i prevent this please.

if the freezer has air and the rear freezer wall has frost on it, the evaporator coils are iced up and need defrosting. causes:
1. low refrigerant
2. no fan
3. too much humid air in fridge/freezer due to door open or bad door seals
4. the condensate drain tube is clogged

if the seal around the door is ripped or not completely sealing, or there is condensation at the bottom or the walls of the fridge, replace the seal(s).

no air, no fan. Replace

if the refrigerant is low, it just needs a top off. but you need to be certified by the epa to move refrigerant, so get a professional.

defrost solutions:
unplug the fridge. remove the wall of the freezer that is frosted/icing up. use a hair dryer to melt the ice. do not get too close. you will see a drain under the evaporator coil. make sure it is not blocked. the water should run freely to a condensate pan under the fridge that evaporates the condensation with the hot line from the compressor. once the coil is free of ice, frost, and water, replace the panel and repair any of the problems that caused the icing up. plug the fridge in and turn it on. If it frosts up within a week, there is still an issue that not been taken care of.

Refreash part is not working, but freezer is ok.

5 reasons for fridge and/or freezer getting warm: 1- the evaporator coils are icing up and won?t let air circulate. 2- the evaporator fan is not working to circulate air. 3- there is no refrigerant in the system. 4- no power to fridge or compressor. 5- the condenser coils have no air circulation check under the fridge behind the vent. if it is too dusty or the fan isn?t working, it is not getting enough airflow to cool down. replace fan and/or vacuum out the dust. if there is no power to the fridge, the light will be off. if the compressor is not running, there is a defrost timer that cuts the power temporarily to the compressor to melt ice on the coils. it?s located under the fridge behind the bottom vent. If the timer is off and the compressor is not going, the compressor or the main board is bad and needs replacing. there is also a temperature sensor on the evaporator coils that tells the defrost coil to turn on and when to turn off. if the defrost timer is on but the coil is not heating up, replace the sensor. if it still won?t heat up, it?s the timer or the coil. the easiest way to tell if there is no refrigerant- the freezer wall is warm and the compressor is loud. if there is no refrigerant, it may be more cost effective to replace the fridge. if you feel no air coming from the freezer vent, the fan needs replacing. If you feel air moving in the freezer but not the fridge, the channel from freezer to fridge is blocked. if the freezer has air and the rear freezer wall has frost on it, the evaporator coils are iced up and need defrosting. causes: 1. low refrigerant 2. no fan 3. too much humid air in fridge/freezer due to door open or bad door seals 4. the condensate drain tube is clogged if the seal around the door is ripped or not completely sealing, or there is condensation at the bottom or the walls of the fridge, replace the seal(s). no air, no fan. My Bosch frostfree fridge freezer keeps icing up!

My Bosch Frost Free Fridge Freezer did the same thing - Ice forming in the bottom of the freezer area after a few days.

It was caused by a blocked drain pipe - When the freezer does the de-frosting cycle, the melted ice drips into a tray and tehn runs into a dish on top of teh compressor, through a pipe.

If this pipe gets blocked, the de frosted ice overflows from the tray and overflows into the bottom of the freezer and then re-freezes !

To fix, pull the freezer away form the wall, locate the pipe that runs to the dish on top of the compressor and blow through it - This should clear it. Alternatively, from inside the freezer compartment, pull off the cover at the back, but the clips holding it on will probably break off, as mine did ! You can sort of push the cover back on and re-fit the food draws.

Hi miss_i2000

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber

Your question is: freezer is icing up and fridge temperature has risen to 10 from 5. Also alot of condensation in the fridge and the fan doesnt seem to be working in fridge. Correct temperature on freezer -18 but ice. new frost free fridge freezer bought 1.5 weeks ago

This is no problem for you. You are under warranty and as long as you have not tryed to repair it yourself you are completely covered. Look for the manufacturer's warranty phone number on the paper work that came with it or call the sales man, he will be happy to track that down for you because he wants repeat business.
If you bought it used the only answer is to return it. You could get a local pro to repair it at yuor own expense but I wouldn't recomend that for a frige only 1.5 weeks old!

Freezer Icing Up

Try contacting the hotline again and ask them if the freezer has a frost sensor on it. If it does, the sensor is not kicking the thermostat to allow for the unit to defrost.
