The ones I have owned had a 4HP Tecumseh on them but I think some of the real old ones might have had a 3 1/2 HP Tecumseh.

Looking for a recoil cup for a Troy-bilt chipper vac model 47282 with a tecumseh engine H5065582V. Thanks JR

Tecumseh part #36221 should be the starter cup you are looking for. It is available through www.partstree.com or try your local repair shop. Any shop that handles Tecumseh parts should be able to order it for you.
Good luck!

Can't find the oil drain plug on Troy Bilt with 5.5 Honda engine

You may want to look under the deck. They sometimes put them there. And if it is a self propelled, you will probably need to remove or loosen the plastic cover that protects the self propelled belt.

You are looking for a nickel sized plug that has a square peg. Use an extension piece for a socket set if you don't have the proper plug removal tool.

Troy bilt jr tiller

If you try to till too deep, this is what will happen. You have to start shallow and and gradually lower the depth on subsequent passes. That will even happen on my 'Horse' model if I try to go too deep too fast.
