I have a Karcher 87 cc gas pressure washer. I let someone borrow it and now when go to start it gas leaks out of the carburator and into the filter as its running. Is there an adjustment that I need to do? If so how and where do I do that. I checked all hoses and nothing is broken or cracked. No gasket issues on the carb. It's coming out of the carb mouth as if it was getting too much gas. Thnks for any help you can give me.

yes...check the check valve. A one-way directional valve, this part is also known as a DUMP valve. It opens when too much pressure builds in the hand wand (when not spraying water) in order to protect the pump, by returning the high pressure to its source reservoir. I suspect the DUMP valve is stuck in open condition (or nearly open).

Speed regulation on small engines is notriously fussy.
Check the linkage to the carburetor and look for a small, light spring.
If there are several holes for one end of it, you may have to try more than one to find the spring tension that lets the engine run steadier than it now does.
If not, then either replacing it or changing the length by shortening or lengthening it will probably be needed.

You have a poor signal to the spark plug usually caused by a rusty fly wheel found underneath the pullcord casing. clean it with releasing ajent such as wd 40. common when not in use for a while.

Remove and clean the carburator. Sound line a stuck needle on the float.

On the Kärcher, you have a bayonet mount at the base of the tip end of the pistol grip. This is where you attach different types of nozzles and gadgets after having removed the existing sprayer tube. Just push in and turn a quarter of a turn, then you pull it off the pistol grip. The hose is possible to remove from the machine as well, an ordinary threaded mount but since you need the pistol grip to regulate on/off this is probably not what you want to do. If the telescopic wand is made by Kärcher it should be very easy to snap it into place just like when you removed the sprayer tube/nozzle. If the attachment was made to fit Alto washers there is an inexpensive adapter that works very well. Good luck!
