Some monitors do not have speakers (my HP monitor does not). The sound has come out of some external speakers attached to the tower. Or maybe you need to access the monitors on-screen menu to turn the speakers on (if they have speakers). Or maybe you can access the monitor speaker control through the PCs Device Manager option (this is where all external components attache to the PC can be viewed, and sometimes changed).
The Samsung B2030 LCD Monitor has no speakers, you cannot turn the volume up on it. Instead turn the volume up on the speakers, or on the computer itself.
Please try to go to Control Panel > select Sound, Speech and Audio Devices > select Sound abd Audio Devices > then at Speaker Set-up select Monitor Stereo speakers. Best regards
There should be an audio cable coming out of Monitor, you'll need to plug that cable in the ouput jack of sound card, turn on/increase the volume of the speakers using the switch, slider present on the monitor and then check. you may also consult the manual that came along with the monitor.
Did you run the audio cable from the computer to the monitor. If not you must have that for the speakers to work. If yes can you verify computer output with another pair of speakers to narrow it down to computer or monitor. If it is the monitor built in speakers that are the problem reply and we can go through a procedure to get them working.
