Search for "Maxxum 7 body" on eBay. You can get a working body for about $20 and save yourself the trouble of making the repair. Or you can buy a defective body for about $15 and do a door transplant. Your choice.
Need a Nikon camera manual? www.nikonusa.com in the support area are dowwnloads. Align the dots on lens and camera body and give a half twist. Camera body can be set to any mode to use lens.
Have you ever cleaned the contacts on the lens and the camera body where they meet? If not, do so now with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol.
while using slr cameras u always see in the viewfinder bcuz slr is a single lence refleime u can see the picture after shoot by clicking on play back option this is a feature of an slr camera
Being a slower, baseline SLR, sometimes it needs to take some time to record all the images to the memory card. In the viewfinder you'll sometimes see the work "job" in the right, and it won't let you do anything. This means the camera is processing the photos. It's a normal pause.
My standard response: Contact Nikon USA (if you're in the US) and ship them the camera and lens. This will cost, which they will estimate up-front, but it
is the absolutely best solution to the problem. Anything else is a hack
job!
