Battery not charging. This would only be the 2nd time it's been on the charger, and it just sits there and the red light flashes and it doesnt charge. I read at some point that casio will replace the battery. what is their contact info so i can get this replaced?
Re: Battery not charging. This would only be the 2nd...
I tried charging 3 AAA batteries on my 15 minute energizer charger and the light kept on flashing. Not sure what to do or who to call. Anyone have their #?

A red light indicates the charger is charging the battery, an amber light means it has switched from fast rate charging to trickle to keep the battery topped off, and green would mean the battery is completely charged. But don't be fooled waiting for green, many times the charger will only be on green for a moment before changing to amber and keeping the battery topped off.
Flashing can be a sign of a problem on some chargers.
A rapid flashing red can on some chargers indicate a bad or shorted battery, or a bad battery contact in the charger itself. If in question, try a different battery on the charger or compare with another charger to determine if the blinking is normal.
Mine is too. Mine will sit solid red for a little then turn solid blue. Then after that it will flash red all the time. I've had it on the charger for the last 2 days and that's all its been doing. I read the flashing red light means the battery is either unchangeable or not making proper contact.
I had the same problem with flashing red light on my charging dock (within 10 sec after 2nd green light came on). I did fix it. There is a rust brown securing tab that holds the battery in place. Mine must have a broken spring..... So, I put the battery into my camera, pushed securing tab over the battery and then wedged a toothpick tip to keep battery tab in place. Once back on the charger, I had no more flashing red light. The battery is charging correctly. The problem was that the battery was not held down into place correctly. I now just have to unwedge the toothpick tip to remove the battery...but not really an issue at all as I keep the battery in there all the time. Very easy fix!!!
Others suggested to reseat the plastic dock. But mine was secure. Somewhere there is not a good battery connection that is causing the red flashing light. I am thankful to figure it out. Hope this helps you.
Dust getting in the charger is a problem, Try blowing it out with a moisture-free dust remover, found at most any store. Green flashing means improper power, due to dust or power from the outlet, try a differant wall outlet. Red flashing means the charger or battery is to hot and must cool down before it will charge. The charger will not charge a battery if the lights are flashing. Solid Red light means it is charging and solid green light means it is charged. Plug the charger in first before putting the battery on the charger. If the charger has been droped or hit the floor the coil inside could have broke loose and dammaged the charger requiring it to be replaced.
i would replace the charger 1st seeing as its the cheapest thing to do. if that doesnt solve the problem. return the charger to where ever you got it from and purchase a new battery.
Your DS is either fully charged or the battery got damaged/wet. When you play the DS, is the light red or flash red? If it does, then the problem is with your battery. http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/repair/dslite_repair_home.jsp
Click on your country, then "System and Game Problems," then "Power and Battery Charging Problems."
Hope this helped.
The cradle is defective. Casio replaced the first one of mine for free then they told me to sit and spin when the second one broke 8 months later. I had only used the camera ~ 10 times. So, I went to a big box electonic store (Best Buy) and bought a Digipower travel charger. It charged the battery up just fine. I also bought a Dynex Memory Card Reader/Writer to transfer the photos to my computer. Good luck. The defective cradle is a known problem that Casio is refusing to correct.
@gminvite1 "Another way I found was when this happens, to push the battery to the
point the light will turn on, when it starts flashing slide it off then
back on. Do this a few times so it charges a little, then you should be
fine to leave it on."
I tried to do this with my LI-10C Olympus charger and it worked..The blinking red light turns to solid red..Thanks for the info...Now I won't be bothering to buy a new batt.or have my charger checked..
