Video downloads Having trouble putting movies on my walkman. Everytime I download one it puts it into my music file instead of my video file even if I put into the video file. HELP!!!

The message means the music is copy protected and that means it will not play outside the device it was downloaded to, in your case the Walkman.

omg i took me about a year to figure it out but i finally got it, i'll tell step by step.

1. you need a video converter because the walkman needs .mp4 files (i use Daniusoft video converter, you can get it via this link)
2. download ur files then plug ur walkman in and then go to start- my computer- walkman- storage media- video
3.go to start-my documents- then try to find ur .mp4 video (it mightby inthe my videos file or if u downloaded a converter like theDaniusoftvideo converter its gonna be in that file)
4. drag and drop the video file to video on ur walkman and ur done!

same thing with pictures except u go to pictures instead of videos and then drag and drop the file

If you have NWZ-S616F model with you, the video formats supported by the player is compatible with MPEG 4 or M4V video profiles at 30 frames per second,

I would suggest don't watch too long videos on this player because the screen is very small and watching videos on it after around 10 mins takes toll on your eyes.

Sadly sony has not provided any video converter with this player, so you may have to download free converter from internet called "Super" which would help you convert videos for this player

Which you can then put it directly on the player by connecting the player with the cable provided for PC connectivity and directly drag and drop the converted video files once your PC detects the player.

Pls note: if you have windows XP you would have to first install the Sony Software provided provided in the CD with this player, with Windows Vista and above you would not have to install any additional software

you cant put itunes on a sony walkman if your talking about putting music that you've gotten from itune then you need an aac to mp3 converter

I'd say the problem is with the file. What format have you converted it to? The players will only play MP4 files as videos with a screen size of 320 x 240 pixels - anything bigger won't play. Try converting the video to iPod format (will still work) using a Youtube to iPod converter, which you can download for free if you "Google" it. But I would definitely say the problem is with the file - go in and delete it from your MP3 player and re-convert, if not re-rip or download the file. (Don't re-rip or re-download until you've converted it again, though)

Make sure the video is in .wmv format. Sync it with Windows Media Player and it will convert it for you. You can get it into .wmv format by either using Windows Movie Maker and importing the video file and saving it, or google Prism Video converter and download that to convert it.
