See or hear if the fan inside is working. Im not conversant with your model. Some units have 2 fans , 1 in the freezer and 1 in the fridge. Some only have1 , which will be in the freezer only. If the fan fails, the fridge cannot blow cold air into the food compartment. Generally, when an evaporator fan fails, the fridge doesn't get cold and the freezer overfreezes causing an excess ice buildup in the freezer.
If you had an electric fridge the problem is usually the evaporator fan motor ($30). I suspect that you may have the same problem. Generally, freezers are cooled only, when the fridge needs cooling, the evaporator fan comes on and blows cold air from the freezer to the fridge compartment. The advice below is for an electric fridge but may also work for you, it's worth a try I suppose.
Check to be sure you can get a replacement fan first, they last about 4 - 5
years. Available from a parts supplier or electric motor company.
Unplug fridge, or disconnect gas etc. Fan should be located usually in top of freezer behind a vented cover
plate. Remove cover, remove screws holding fan in, may have to cut
wires.
Replace with new motor, make sure the fan spins the same direction (CW
OR CCW) as your old one, if you don't know which way it should spin
then be sure it pushes air into the freezer area and
doesn't spin backward drawing air from the freezer area.
clean the coil behind the fridge or under the fridge (where ever they are) and make sure both fans are running, the one in the freezer and the one underneath. If that don't work you may be low on freon change fan motor
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent
between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through
it.There is a flap you adjust with the
fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the
fridge temp ..
does your fan blow? freezers have a fan that pushes cold air to the fridge side if fan is bad freezer will run extremely cold and fridge won't cool down and since frige won't cool down thermostat in fridge doesn't tell compressor to stop
Your door switch is bad. When doors are opened, the fan stops. No cooling. When it closes, fan starts. Bulb is just an indicator of no power to unit...probably burned out contact in switch.
Check to see if the fan the blows cold air from the freezer compartment to the refrig is (a) not blocked in either the freezer or refrig, or (b) not working at all. Replacement of the fan is likely very inexpensive - cheap parts, and a possible DIY if you can use a screwdriver and read an exploded view in the on line parts manual for your model.
Sounds like the evap fan is not running. The fan takes cold air from the freezer to cool the refer compartment. If the freezer is cold the compressor is running. Generally the freezer will stay cold since the cooling coils are there but it must have the fan working to get the air up to the refer area. Pull everything out the freezer and take the back panel off to view the coils and fan, etc. It's a simple easy job to change the fan. If you find the coils are a total block of ice then it's another problem... the defrost cycle isn't working. Sooo... see if the fan is running in the freezer compartment first.

for fan location, item 18 is the fan motor. Let us know what you find out.
