When I turn on the printer all the lights are blinking. where the number of copies goes theres a E blinking. Can this be fix or do I need a new printer. Please Help
If all of the lights on the control panel are flashing and you see the letter E in the Copy window, the print head may not be able to move back and forth freely. Follow these steps:
Turn off the Stylus CX.
Open the scanner.
Remove any jammed paper or other obstructions from the paper path.
Carefully lower the scanner.
Turn the Stylus CX back on.
Note:
If you can't remove the paper or foreign object yourself, do not use force and do not disassemble the Stylus CX.
And the last thing you could do, is to check if the rod where your carriage slide is dry...if so put a little bit of oil on it

I may have tripped across a solution to the ink carrier that doesn't want to behave.
I turned the printer off. Then, while holding down the Ink button, I also pressed and held the On button- and kept holding them. Somewhere in documentation I read that this would kick off some process, but I didn't remember what. It didn't turn on right away, but after 4 or 5 seconds of holding the buttons down, started up, went through some motions, and lo and behold, it landed on the spot showing me my cyan cartridge was out. Pressed it again, and it went to the cartridge change position.
I had to think about it, because I was now faced with breaking open a cartridge package worth $35 that could go towards the price of a new printer, and the printer still may not work, but I went boldly forward and it seems to be working fine.
