I have a HP TX1110us, custom install to windows 7 ultimate. The remote control that came with the pc does not work with win7. Any suggestions on how to get it working?
To get the remote to work on Win7 you need to install the CIR driver. Check the driver download page for your product for the appropriate Win7 driver. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericSoftwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&softwareitem=ob-75405-1&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN If a Win7 driver is not available then the Vista driver will also work. Please check with this?Plz vote if this resolves issue.. Dreamkam

Hi,
This was the generic driver for windows 7. if it woont work then unistall the same and try to install it in vista compatibility mode.
To run in the compatibility mode follow these steps.
1. First uninstall the current version of drivers from Device manager
2.Click and save it to desktop
3.Right click on the .exe file
4.Select Run in Compatibility.
5.Follow onscreen instructions.
if this doesnt work then it is purely a comaptibolity issue with the software and Hp has not relaased the exact drivers yet. so we may have to wait for that..
Thanks..

Thanks Dreamkam. i tried installing the CIR driver. The first install, Windows 7 said it may NOT have installed correctly, so I tried installing again. It seemed to install OK< as Win7 didn't say it failed. But still no functionality for the IR RC.
Any other suggestions?
