Memory card is not working on l 7 mobile it is working in computer, it ask me to format , but format is not successfull

loma it is possible your memory card has a security code but once it was sincronized by your device before updating firmware that why it was not asking for password, but once you update, for your memory card it look like new device so he is asking password, if you don't have password you have to format memory card but there you will lose all data.and your memory card will work normally.

how to want to format you Memory card through Mobile and through computer. the both way i describe you let chose which one you look easy.

Through Mobile.

Switch off the mobile and Insert your memory card in mobile.

Step 1.

Press the white menu button.

Step 2.

Select "Applications".

Step 3.

Select "File mgr.".

Step 4.

Double-click on "E: Memory Card".

Step 5.

Select "Options".

Step 6.

Select "Memory Card Options" and then "Format".

Through -PC

Formatting your memory card, flash drive or device:
1. Double-click My Computer, or Computer (for Vista)
2. Right-click the drive letter associated with your memory card, flash drive or device, then select Format
(in the sample image below, we right-clicked on H:)
WARNING: Make sure you select the correct drive letter.

3. Select a File system type.
NOTE: Select FAT32 for 4GB or higher capacities. FAT for 2GB or lower capacities
4. Click Start.



Memory card info and old cameras
Many previous old cameras and portable devices do not work if the card is formatted as FAT32 or NTFS file system. One of the following errors may occur if your device does not support FAT32 or NTFS:
- Error message asking to re-format the flash card.
- Error message that the flash card is not formatted.
- Error message indicating that the card is anomalous.

To resolve the above error, backup your data and reformat your memory card in FAT file system.
If the error persists, re-format the memory card using your camera or portable device.

I've been encountering this issue. The problem may come from the card reader or the card holder. If possible, use a different card holder and of problem persists, try a different card reader or test on another computer.

hi friend, if you not entered any password into your memory card. then, connect your mobile with computer & select an option mass storage at connecting time. then, formate you memory card. then, disconnect your mobile from system. and again do formating by phone in file manger. your problem is fix.

to remove password,update phone online with card in phone.format memory card with a card reader,remember to back up data.if this doesn't work maybe the memory card is bad.try formatting another memory card with phone to confirm.

i have nokia 3110 classic mobile. the memory card is nokia. i set password for my memcard. i had a software problem with my phone. so i gave for installing sw for my phn. after installing the software, when i opened my mem card it asked password. but i forgot the password. so i wnt to format it. but for formatting also it asks password. pl solve my problem

just go memory card in that u find format option
select that & ur memory card will get format or try connectioning ur mobile to pc & format through pc by selecting memory drive right click mouse button select format option in that asked for quick & custom format select one of them & format ur micro sd card
