Check the volute settigs to these channles. Check whether system set is compactable with input.

Sounds like you have a bad signal from the antenna or the cable. Unlike analog TV if the signal level drops below a certain level you loose the picture and sound completely. The fact that digital channels are detected during channel search does not mean they have a good signal. Try moving the antenna about.

Make sure that one tv doesnt have a built in digital box and the other doesnt because if so, thats why one gets more channels than th other, otherwise, do an auto channel scan, both using the Visio and the HDTV from the same antenna output, if your still missing channles on the HDTV yo u may have a faulty RF receiver on your HDTV. you can go and get an indoor digital antena from any electrical store and hook it up. you can then scan for the local channels.

Make sure cable Tv is hook up directly to TV then go to the tuner menu and do an auto scan or auto search for channels that should fix your problem.

well first thing to do is this the only tv thats connected to the cable?
if it the only one
i would call the cable company and have them up the db level.
if you have more than one, you'll have a splitter that splits the cable that could be causing your problem, change it out will a new lower db one.
another thing could be happening is the cable connector on the end could be failing so have the cable guy replace all those too.
