Procedure: Purchase a 3.5mm to 3.5mm Adapter Cord from Radio Shack, etc. To transfer files (recordings to the computer) - Connect the jack from AUDIO OUT on the unit to MIC on the laptop / soundcard of the computer (Reverse this if you wish to record something from the computer to your recorder!). Now you can either use Windows Media Player, or numerous PD Software for recording of .WAV, MP3, etc. Follow these very simple tips, and you should be in business!

Press ERASE Once, The word [DELETE] appears in the display. HOLD ERASE for 2 seconds. An Audible BEEP will occur, and your folder will now read one less recording.

ayy bueno ya lo descubri yo misma en realidad la palabra estaba en una tecla y luego aparecia delete que significa borrar y yaa,, que cosa no habia visto la palabra erase :)

How can a recover delited recordings from my rca

Follow this: First things first: DO NOT take any more recordings with the the same recorder that you want to recover files from.
Then take the memory card or hard drive out of your recorder, and connect it to your computer as it should appear as a "Removable Drive" or put the card in a card reader attached to your PC.

Then install this software Wondershare Photo Recovery (recover videos and audio files too) on your computer. Then start to scan and see if your deleted files can be got back. Get the program from:

For Windows Version
For Mac version

Remember - Do NOT try & write anything back to your digital recorder(card or disk) until you can recover your files safely! I hope you good luck! Regards

How do i unlock a rca digital recorder model rp 5020a? I have tried holding down the menu button but does not work.

Hello,
Normally, by pressing and holding the menu button down will lock and unlock the recorder. Since this is not working for you, you can unlock it by opening the battery compartment on the backside of the device and removing one of the batteries and then placing the battery back in and closing back the compartment. This will unlock the device also allowing you to use the functions. When I took the battery out for a split second it did not erase my test recording, but leaving the battery out for a long period of time may erase anything you have saved.
