Fisher and paykel error 136

Hi Error 136 is rather complicated to solve...in hindsight it could be a number of reasons this came about.. Unless you have abilities to test the windings one will end up spending too much to get it fixed. I guess I'm saying it could be one these... open or short in the motor windings, loose wiring, rotor sensor.

What is error code 136 on a fisher & paykel IW709AU top load washer

136 fault is 'motor stall'...Quite often this is a broken wire to the motor. However it could also be a Motor fault, or Rotary Position Sensor problem. Water damage can cause this fault as well. After a visual check for broken wires or water damage, and if your machine is in good condition, you should consider a tech....Good luck...Nomess

Fisher & paykel intuitive Fault code 136

Sounds like a motor problem Check the motor harness, connectors and motor for discontinuity. This can be done by taking a resistance measurement between phases of the motor harness at the motor control mudule end.should be approx 32 ohms. You can also check at the motor,I have seen a few open circuit connections where the motor connections (spade clips) Push into the plastic motor housing,Hope this helps.
