Hello,

HP just wants to sell another printer. The "ink system failure" error is caused by air in the ink feed tubes. This happens when the ink in the cartridges goes run all the way out or you use poor quality refilled cartridges. In both cases the printer tries to pump ink but gets air instead. We have a step by step guide to do a purge on the ink lines and reset the system posted on our web site at: www.ccl-la.com look in the printer repair pages and the HP. In less than 10 minutes you should be back printing again.

you should contact the hp support for this. if the printer is in warranty you might get a replacement as well because it is an issue with the printer itself.

It's probably telling you it is out of ink.
The ink system can fail if the cartridges in the product are installed incorrectly, if the ink in the cartridge is low or out, or if the cartridges are damaged or not correctly vented.
