Dont seem to have enough front panel pins for all my case wires

Hi Greeneyedbj,

What kind of I/O connectors are you looking for *********** board sir?

pcsyke_138.jpg

The image above has the following for your I/O connectors.
1. Three usb headers up to 6 additional devices, most casing can support 2-4 pins. 2. Front Audio Connector. 3. Front Panel Connector. Power Sw, Reset Sw, Powed Led, HDD Led

Branded casing has the following I/O connectors.
1. Esata 2. Firewire (Dont use the USB headers, firewire use a different pin-layout) 3. Chassis Intrusion Alarm Header.

Hopefully this information helps.
You can ask for more help.

Dear sir...greetings... i have a ibm fw82801db motherboard which is working fine... the main problem what i am facing is i have a 20 pin front panel jack like FDD jack as unable to connect my front...

Because of the many configuration of motherboard, I can possibly know how to help you with this problem without the keyboard in front of me. The best advice to you is to go back to the manual to find the proper connection of those jumpers.

Hello myasinmalik,
this is a [Picture Diagram] of the {PIN Sequence], in the order of "Connections."

!Warning: "Before disconnecting, or connecting: Cables, Wires, Power Supplies, or Pins!"
"Unplug "All Power Sources" from {'Wall' AC - Power Outlets}."

CASE WIRES TO PANEL1 CONNECTIONS

The hdd red wire gooes to pin #1 the hdd white wire goes to pin #3 the power sw orange wire goes to pin #6 the power sw white wire goes to pin #8 The reset sw blue wire goes to pin #7 the reset sw white wire goes to pin #5 the power led green wire goes to pin #2 the power led white wire goes to pin #4.

How to connect the front panel sould device?

Do you mean speaker or front panel audio? The front panel audio connector is located at the rear of the board, behind the PCI connectors - the speaker connections are in the panel connector block (2x10 pin header) located at the front left of the board.

With the board in it's normal position, the speaker pins are on the right hand side of that block, on the pin nearest the front and the one 3 positions behind that

Hi there.
On the motherboard look for the front panel, it should be marked PWR and coloured green, also the plug that connects to it should be marked PWR_SW.

EMachines T3256 Desktop

Hi,

Generaly, the little connectors on the printed side will face the bottom of the case. Also, typically, Black is negative, and white/colour is positive (except on the power sw, it doesn't matter). On the motherboard, where the connectors go, there should be some kind of print saying where to plug them in. (IE, POWER SW, would go into PWR, and HDD LED would go into HDLED and POWER LED would go into PWRLED).

It may look different than this, but generally the same kind of layout, as you can see, it shows the positions, as well as positive and negative.

The fact that the fans are running indicates that your power Sw is connected properly.. Make sure that you didn't accidently pull out/loosen anothe connection to the motherboard/harddrive.
