i see this all the time the dryer motor is simply to weak to kick in so it humms or sometime starts,a good test to do is flip the top up and push the start button and turn the drum at the same time and the motor should kick in,the dryer has no ball bearing it is on rollers,if you want you can check your local used appliance store and see if they have one or maybe ebay,your model number is inside the dryer door,so to sum it up it is the motor,let me know how you make out-mike
