How to set up voice mail on a new htc cell phone

Voice mail is on the provider site, not on the phone

Try have a look in settings and turn voice mail off or check to see if you have your phone set to divert all calls

check the setting of your phone you might have set up all voice call forwarded to voicemail

In order to hear your voice mail, you need to call your own number from your phone.
If you need to 'see' the voice mail, you'll most likely need to use the visual voice mail application that is most likely built into the phone. I know that most US carriers provide you with these applications, I don't know about the availability of these applications from other carriers.

You have to get to the settings of your phone then from the settings go to calling setting and take off the voice mail code

How do I set up voice mail?

* Text messaging is set up. You can choose to be notified in a text message that you have voice mail or have missed a call.

How do I change my voice mail after I've set it up?

Do a system reset, then power the phone down for 1 minute, then power back on and go in and replace your old voice mail settings.

Voice mail allows callers to leave voice messages, which can be retrieved any time.

Note: Once your voice mail account has been set up, you can use the Voice Mail folder (under the Message menu) to view details of voice messages in your voice mail box.

1. In idle mode, press and hold the key or dial your own mobile number
to dial voice mail.

2. Follow the prompts in the new user tutorial to setup your mail box.

Just go to call settings and then call divert. check settings. Maybe all calls are diverted to voice mails. Cancell all diverts. Then you are done.
