I am having the same problems as apparently a ton of other people with Haier Fridge Model HTQ21JAAWW. The fridge is sitting at about 55 degrees and spoiling everything. My freezer seems to be working but only on the coldest setting. It has the wall of ice on the bottom so I removed the bottom plastic piece like you said to here:
2 common problems that unit has. 1 is the cold controls go bad and will cause the unit to either run or not run. 2 the freezer drain gets blocked up very easy and when the freezer defrost the water has noplace to go but the freezer bottom and could block the air passages so the cold air will not satisfy the control. so check the freezer bottom by removing the plastic peice on the bottom there are 3 plastic plugs in the front that secure it and some phillips screw in the middle. you can just lift it to check for ice. if there is none replace the cold control. good luck
but now what....? Wait for it to defrost and see if it works? Please let me know as soon as you can!
thanks
My refridgerator seems to be workin the freezer is getting cold but not freezing its a top freezer bottom refridgerator the fan in the freezer is also not workin.i had atec come out to check it out. supposedly theres a capasitor that sits next to the compressor that he told me was bad an had to be ordered.its got 2 wires that come off the compressor that plug into this lil box.my question is could this be why my freezer is not freezing an also why the fan inside the freezer is not workin?

... and the problem appears to be the draining, as water pools and does not go down. I have tried flushing it with hot water, tried blowing air in from the top down, tried blowing up the tube from the bottom -- nothing, water will not go down. Not sure how to snake such a small tube. Suggestions??
