My screen went black while watching tv a fuse or somthing else?

backlight may have gone if your tv has one

i was watching my tv and the scream went black

If there was a popping noise of any kind when the tv screen went black there's a high possibility that one of the fuses in the tv popped and there is no power to the tv. It could also just be the outlet itself and try plugging the tv to different working outlets.

if theres nothing at all (sound and vedeo) then the power supply section may check, fuse, power I.C. or transistor

Am Martyn...ma Tv same model did the same thing this mornign while i played FIFA 2010 world cup on PS3 Fat...what could be the problem???

Sounds like it blew an "Internal Fuse"
if you want to fix it..simply open rear of TV and look for the fuse.

I have samsung 40" LCD tv and it's happening the same thing. I turned it on and it last for 5 minutes and the screen went back but the audio is fine. I turned off and turned it back on it worked fine but an hour later it happen again.
