Radio come on but do not recive or put out no sound

It sounds like a synthesiser fault... might require a chip replacement.

You may have to activate the attenuator

Plug your external speaker up in your PA jack key up...do you hear anything...if no you IC Chip is put in your radio.Take to shop. If you do you might have a bad soilder around IC chip on board.

I suggest that the radio needs to be realigned to receive. If the radio has been dropped or banged in any manner this could have caused your problem.

If you have no channel display or CB operation, it sounds like a blown voltage regulator that supplies power to the CB PLL circuit.

Bad switch. It's that simple. The factory switches are crimp together junk. You may be able to use a pair of needle nosed pliers to softly squeeze the case of the switch together to correct the poor contact in side of the switch, but, if it gets a lot of use you may need to replace it altogether. Or try adjusting

I don't know this radio individually, but heres the common thing that happens:
Sounds to me like the 8 volt regulator chip has blown after overvoltage. I expect the power supply has gone too, putting 18+ volts into the radio.
Repair the power supply. (Check its 13-13.8 Volts).
Then check the regulator (7808) is putting out anything, should be middle pin ground then 13V one side and 8V the other, if nothing, its blown. Replace it if gone.
Hopefully thats all thats gone and it should work again.

sub should work as long as u don't have the reciver on digital it should still work ur mains and the sub but no sound from the rears, the radio cuting out could because bye a resister failing it might not have burnt out yet but it is not working proprely if it only happens when the radios is on try to see if local stations come in clear with no antena . but if it happens when the reciver is on tv or another input take to ur closest repair shop to be fix or u might fry the mother board happen to one oif my old recivers.
