My headphones work fine for everything except internet sounds. The microphine still works fine, but when i try to listen to something online, the headphones dont work. They work fine in my media player and when i test them, only when i go online they dont work. Whats up with that?
I don't have these headsets here and the setup to troubleshoot for your fault. But, I have an opinion.
It seems that the driver for the headset is not routing the sound from the net or other applications to the USB ports, as like with the sound from the media player.
For IE, look in the advanced settings for media and see if there is a setting for this. Also, check out all the media settings in the system for this.
I would search out the properties of the headset to see if there is a setting for this. Also search out the properties of the sound card where it allows for USB and regular sound sharing or routing.
I would also get in touch with the manufacture of this headset to find out if they know something or have a solution.

I have the same problem a the person above. My Logitech 250 headphone / microphone plays my laptop's system sounds, but anything from the internet is still coming out of my laptop's speakers and not the headset. Any ideas on how to fix this?
exact same problem. i go into sounds via the control panel and change ALL the sounds to the headset, and click "apply" before closing, and still, nothing.
i get system sounds, but any sounds coming through the internet go direct to my speakers. even skype
