SOURCE: Mitsubishi VS-60805 Rear Projection won't operate in HD mode with Cable Box

Since this is an older first generation (1999) HD TV it may not be compatible with newer HDTV receivers because the standards back then were different - Make sure the HD cable box is plugged into the HD component inputs on the back of the TV (not the DVD inputs) and that the menu setting on the TV is set to DTV (not RGB) video. This TV will only accept 480i and 480p signals on the DVD input. Also the HDTV input will only accept 480i,480p and 1080i (it will not work with a 720p signal, make sure your cable box is not set to that mode)

SOURCE: cant reset blue convergence on rear projection WS-73905 73 in

Please rate!
First the yellow tinge is due to the blue STK convergence IC possibly being burned. Usually on the right lower side, sccessed from the back, is a module with 3 black stk's on it. If you see the stk's then replace all 3. Not one as the others will blowreally soon. Also check to see if green coils are burned if, so replace them. Get parts from matelectronics.com. Good source and inexpensive, about 40 bucks for the parts...Give a good visual and then proceed. be careful! high volts still in there, but don't worry...

SOURCE: The green power / timer light keeps flashing on

when the light constanly flashes, you have a bad digital module, in most cases you can remove the module and replace all of the 1000 microfarad at 16 volt capacitors in it, some have 4, some have 7 capacitors. that usually doea it, but you probably need a repairman.
