All inputs work except for the component videos.

All the bulbs are fine and aligned correctly, though when we use the component inputs all the picture shows is the blue, and we have checked all the cables. The only thing we can think it is are the fuses or something.

When your tv shows a blue screen it not getting a signal!! In your mit's you have to go into the customer menu and turn on the input/device. The device control is on the remote, click over to input and activate (enter). Also, look into owners manual, the customer service at mit's will step you through it if you wish. Note: put cables into comp 1 (eg), make sure colored cables are correctly inserted, and audio. (red, blue, green) red/white; audio.

Plugged in my wii after several months of not using it, it work excellent when I unhooked it. Now the picture has no color and very faint

I would first check your cables. It seems as though the RCA cable could have a problem, OR if your using a standard def set up (Yellow=Video, Red/White=Audio) make sure the TV input is not set on component. Component input will be looking for an RGB input method. Try using another input, make sure the wires are plugged in the right location, and the input is set correctly. Hope this helps :)

Component video problem. Hi I got the Denon AVR-3806 receiver and has it hooked up with a component cable to my background projection TV. To the reciever I have a satellite box connected also with a...

Just fixed this myself - made my head hurt to figure out. 1. Switch to a setting (say DVD). 2. Watch the AVR screen as it switches. You'll see the audio and video settings. For example, Audio = DVD, Video = DVD (Mine showed Audio = DVD, Video = DBS even though is was set correctly using the SETUP for audio and video)3. Under the round control knob on the left, push the (tiny) Video Select button. 4. Turn control know to choose the correct video source
Your system should work right. Mine did.

No picture

have you connected up correctly, have you selected correct EXTERNAL inputs, you do NOT "tune" a Channel to see picture, you choose external AV input on set. Must connect color to color. 3 for Composite Video AV.Yellow, Video, Red & White Audio. and 5 cables for Component 3 for Video , & 2 for Audio Blue, Green, Red, Also Red & White, Audio.

Even though my dvd and receiver have component video inputs/outputs, when i hook them up i don't get any picture. i have connected the audio with a digital coax and that works fine. why doesn't it work?

Have you enabled the component output on the dvd player and/or switched the output to "component out"? This type of connection doesn't have automatic recognition like scart.

RCA HD52LP: Composite video inputs don't work

RCA Authorized service tech looked at it. He determined that the DM Module need to be replaced. The part alone costs $550 + labor. Since the HDMI and component video inputs seem to work, he suggested buying a VCR DVD combo with HDMI output which would be far less than repairing the tv itself. I'n researching the possibility of purchasing the part myself.

Surround sound

Hi

Your receiver is capable of video conversion, so there should be no problem using your component cable.

Does your TV accept component, or only S-Video? If you can run component to your TV, the best quality signal path would be using a component cable from your Verizon box to your receiver, and component from your receiver to your TV.

Make sure you have set up the video input correctly, so that it is set to accept the incoming signal on the correct sockets.

No Picture from Component Input #1 or #2 but do have audio via Surrond Sound

Simplest thing would be that your component cables are not HU'd correctly. Having them reversed would do this.

Component Video inputs do not work

I started back in the day of tubes. A family would have one set and it would be a 19" black and white. There are different resolutions now. The components probably do work, but, they don't pass the 480i signal. The satelite converter's analog signal needs to be set to 480p and the DVD needs to be set to progressive if it does have that setting. If the DVD is not a progressive scan DVD, then, the only inputs that it will show on is the analog signal. Some of the dish converters have a switch on the face for changing the resolution. If yours doesn't then put it in an analog source and go to the menu and change it there. Then move it to the component input. Hope this helps.
