Burn fuses My Sunpentown induction cook top stopped working at the middle of my cooking one day. Opened it up and found that the fuse inside is burned. Replaced new fuses, and burned everytime as soon as it was turned on. No burning smell inside the cook top and all components look fine. Anyone can help?

the cost of getting it fix by a repairman may not worth it, this type of induction cook top only costs 150 bucks for a brand new one.

Mine is now blowing the fuse at the box. I think water must have gotten in where the fan blows out and created a short. Can't find any way to fix it and don't want to spend the money everytime this happens.

Something inside is short-circuited. All components look fine thans to burned fuse. Don't try it anymore with new fuses. You need to get a repairman to check it out.

36" kitchen aid electric induction cooktop power comes on but burners don't get hot

Induction cook tops do not heat by convection... only the cook ware gets hot. Your cook ware has to be made or encapsulate ferrous materials. More simply put; if a magnet won't stick to the pot it won't work on an induction cook top.

I have a 5 burner ge induction cook top. 3 work. The other 2 indicate a turn on signal but do not function. How do I troubleshoot

There are several helpful how-to videos on Youtube but please be aware induction hobs work on a principle different from the usual and the troubleshooting and repair is considered a specialist task - if you wouldn't poke around inside a tv or a computer then you probably shouldn't poke around inside your hob.

I have whirlpool induction cooktop and it does nothing. I have current and nothing. I was wondering if the fuse could be bad. The fuse is 30A/250 an couldn't find one so I tried 20A/50 not

You will definitely need the correct fuse. Get someone competent with a meter to test the circuits. Test the original fuse before going further to see if it is OK or not.

Gaggenau 200 Series?

If it is similar to the VE260 model, this induction type of cook top is very old. 22 - 23 years if it came with the home when it was built.
I can only offer basic suggestions of which you already probably know.
These induction type cook tops rely on the pan or skillet to be magnetic like stainless steel. If the bottom of the pan has any buildup of residue, this will dramatically reduce the efficiency of the unit.
If the pans are immaculate, then the electronic elements that produce the magnetic induction to heat the coils must be weak. As old as the unit is, it is probably not feasible to have 3 of the elements repaired....
A new top can be purchased much cheaper. Consult Consumers Reports for unbiased product reviews for your best reviews. As a final suggestion, find someone who is qualified to use an electrical multimeter to read the current on both sides of the power receptacle to ensure that your voltage is 230V. A loose connection on the receptacle can cause the elements to have the same result.
Although I can imagine you have already done everything above, I just wanted to send you what I can offer.

Was using 4 burners and they all stopped working- electric burn smell in kitchen. External house breaker is not tripped

When you used all elements the power supply wire have been
gone to the maximum current absorbed so to the maximum heat. When the cook top
is new it can withstand this heat but due to long time used now you have burned
out wires and probably to junction point. So now the power supply wire is
burned and is open circuit thus not any power to the heater. The wires have
just open circuit and they don't touch each other or the metal body of the cook
top that is why you don't have the circuit breaker fuse to trip off. So now you
need to disassemble the cook top and you will very easily find the burn point
which should be melded and burned black and replace all parts that they have
been burned with new one.

Here is the link where you find the parts layout, the wiring
diagram and also order any parts you might need.

Also just for safety, avoid to use all four heater at the
same time in the future.

Ignitors all quit working.

I am solving the same problem on my thermador cooktop now. From what I can tell there is an electrical box inside the unit that generates the spark. called the ignition control unit or ignition device. I bought a new unit at http://wwaparts.com/index.php and had it on my doorstep the next day. The next trip is taking off the burners to get inside your cooktop so you can replace it.
