AVANTI w851 washer. Regardless of water level selected hot water keeps coming in while machine goes into wash cycle. Have to shut off hot water to prevent overflowing. What are my options? Petruchio.
Thats a sure sign of a bad water valve contact avanti there a good company they may send you a new one
Testimonial: "THANK YOU GUYS! I DID REPLACE THE VALVE, IT WORKS GOOD, ALREADY 2 YEARS. DID NOT REALIZE THAT IT IS SO EASY. THANKS."
It sounds to me that the water inlet valve has gone bad. Each side, hot and cold has a solenoid attached that cuts the water off during the cycles when proper level has been reached. To better research this part for you on cost and availability, I will need the complete model number for the washer.

When in RINSE cycle hot water faucet is cut off, otherwise it would overflow in WASH cycle.
When power turned off I opened hot water faucet. Hot water start coming into the washer. Looks like inlet hot water valve does not hold.
