Same problem. Bought a new power supply at extortionate price from Lacie but still no joy. I'm hoping to find a way of converting to a dumb external USB HD.
The Mac OS can't natively write to NTFS (it can write to FAT32 however). But if you install MacFuse followed by NTFS 3-G on OS X then you'll be able to write to your NTFS drive.
Try a different USB lead? mine did something simialr because it wasnt getting enough power through the USB port - turns out the wire was duff. New wire sorted it - well cheap from ebay (about 2 quid)
cheek the above the box what is the comparbilty of the dimension and your mechine model and all those are avalable on the box cheek you system socket place which type of items are fit to you slot if matching the spicifcations open the box any try to fit
When the log file is cleaing the data wont delete better you do one thing log file put one place any temrary place in the system than do the operation for claening the log
