I have a Krups xp 7230 Expresso Machine. Water is leaking from the bottom of machine but cannot get the bottom off. No signs of screws. Can you give me some insight how to remove? Thanks.
I have a xp7240 which I believe has the same housing as yours. I can remove the bean container by pulling off the grind selector knob and removing the only screw.
Then remove the scute for the cleaning tablets. Then remove the two screws that were covered by the scute. Remove the water tank. Under the tank remove the two screws.
Then the trick where everyone seems to look for: The facade of aluminum can be moved off. Set the machine on the floor and pull hard upwards at the facade. This comes off (pull hard!) and four screw are uncovered. Remove them and pull then back housing of the machine (remove first the containers/drawers). Now the inner parts are freely accessible. Take photos and remove the components from top till bottom to get to the bad parts that need replacement. The valve that leaks is on the bottom of the machine (will cost you a lot of time to get to it. Don't know the replacement price.) Good luck!
the white plastic module is the three way valve which I dissassembled but was perfectly in order. Bolted on to this is a valve that connects via a hose to the boiler. This is the culpit. Twist it housing 15 degrees and it comes off the three way valve module. Use a small screwdriver to get the valve out (it has a spring behind it so be careful). Clean it from coffee debris and put it back and makes sure it can freely move and doesn't stuck. Put the valve back by the same way it came off (twist). When this valve gets block, the feeder hose from the water pump starts to leak. My did and had to fix it. Cost zero, time 2 hours.
You need part number ms-5015004 it (fits in boiler) and part number ms- 50022081 you can order herehttp://www.belstar-electrics.co.uk/produ... (I've sent a picture as attachment) i hope you can repair it please let me know.
I hope you don't mind my bad english.

There are many possible points that the leak can be.
All points of the water supply from water tank to the pressure pump then to boiler and finally to coffee group. All this are connected together with plastic or Teflon pipes with easy fit unions secure with clips
You need to disassemble the machine and work it without the side panels of course with extra care since power electrical cables are exposed.
In this way with a very good visual check while the machine is in operation you can identify the leaking point and fix it.
