It sounds like your condenser fan motor may be locked up or the capacitor that helps give the condenser fan motor a kick to get it started may be defective. Try turning your system on and using a long screwdriver try to push the fan blade on the condenser fan motor to see if it will run normally if you give it the starting boost it needs.If it does run at full speed and doesn't over heat or start and then slow down then you probably only need to replace a simple 10-12$ capacitor. If it barely turns, makes an odd humming sound or overheats etc. then you will have to replace the condenser fan motor. This is assuming that the outdoor condenser has the 220v supplied and the 24v supplied to the compressor relay, that the compressor relay is engaged and suppling 220v to the condenser fan motor.

that is a three ton unit and most likely a 10 seer rated seer rating are posted 6 months in cool and 6 months in heat to get the number on the unit if you are more interested in heating rating of heat pumps the aher or annual heating efficiency rating is of the most importance in this category the unit posted very well

is this unit real old ? it does not come up in my book . the btu is 30000 that is the same as 2.5 ton it may be 6,7 or 8 seer i dont think its a 10 seer because the 10 seer units are listed and yours is not . if this sounds wrong please look up the mod # again and post the ser # too ......... 567C024RCU In this model number is the # 24. That stands for 24,000 btu's. This is a two (2) ton unit. Has this two ton unit cooled ok in the past? if so replace with the same size. But make sure yo change the indoor coil to match the size "and" efficiancy of the ew unit.
