If fuse blow up there should be a reason. In most cases damaged/shorted component/s at its main power supply regulator section. Contact any service technicain. This is not a user reparable fault. Gopakumar Gopalan Google
This error 55.4k appeared in printer hp color laserjet 5550. The following trouble shooting did. Orignally my printer fault is display blank. Then i replace dc board with formatter board. blank is gone dueto new ram.Machine display showed the memory process. but immediatly the error 55.4k appeared on display. The reason for this error is, communication failure between formatter and dc board. The dc board which i was replaced by old type one. Then i found exact same dc board, replaced. Error was gone.Machine came to normal status , working fine.
see my personal TIPS and test the motor. 2) the main board can be faulty, replace 3) lube the machine for a DECK belt , the resistance can be another cause. 4) lube the roller bearing too. 5) test the power supply for faulty see the block.
Tech guys only.. Remove rare, side, top covers, rare metal sheet cover, you can see the Low vol power supply, check input 220V/110V(depends power standards) fuse. If fuse burnt check primary section is there any component failed? replace same rated fuse the try it.. if successful no issue, if fuse burnt repeats replace "Power Supply". If fuse burnt after fuser drive starts, replace another fuser then try it. (faulty fuser also one of the cause to fuse burnt)
Hi, Either power supply problem or blown surface
mount fuse on the main board. First check all SMD
fuses on the main board, and the fuse on the power supply board. If the
power
supply board fuse has blown replace it and try again, if it blows again
you need
to replace the power supply. If the power supply seems OK check all SMD fuses on the main board. There are 7 on the
V3 and about
a dozen on the V4 / V5 / V6. Good luck...
in the printer there is a power supply board.there is a same type of 3amp fuse on the power supply board.if there is any kind of overheating in the power then the fuse in the plug and fuse on the power supply board blows out.in some cases only fuse on power supply board blows out.this fuse is placed on the board for safety reasons.because in the older model printers when this short circuit problem was happening at that time whole board used to blow out.so in the new model of printer a fuse is placed on the board ,so if any overheating or any power outage or any short circuit occurs.the fuse blows out instead of whole power supply board.
You just need to replace the fuse on the power supply board by disassembling the printer.the power supply board is the green color square shaped board.its the board to which your power wire of printer is connected.
the fuse is available at any local electric hardware shop.its not any special kind of fuse.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated. please please do rate the solution positively
.thank you for using fixya
there is an 022 farad cap right under the f901 f 904 f907 f905 6amp rectifier on the main board if short will blow supply board fuse first before it blows the 4 amp fusses on the main board. replace as needed.
Try connecting the printer to a circuit board (one with a circuit breaker) to ensure overvoltage is minimised. Next check that the printer has the appropriate power setting (220v/110v Depending on your area.) Ps- not all fuses are the same , if you have the original 1 look on the adaptor and it will say 220/110V at ?A thats the proper fuse to get ,if you replaced a different fuse (lower rating) it will go out instantly.if the fuse still goes out you will need to ask Hp for a replacement adaptor for your printer.(if none is available you need to either take it to hp (costly) or buy another printer .
