Check the cables, make sure it is secure on both ends. Also see if you pull up the Monitors on screen menu.

As long as the light is green, that means there is a signal. it could be a bad monitor. Shut off all the lights in the room, then grab a Flashlight and hold it against the LCD screen while it boots into windows. Can you see the desktop now, but very dimm? If you can see the desktop, then connect Your PC to another monitor (if u have one or a friends, perhaps) and boot it up, can you see the desktop on the other monitor fine?, then we just ruled out a Bad video card and narrowed it down to either a Bad Inverter in the Screen or LCD back light issue.

probally not worth fixing, because replacement LCD's arent cheap. nowadays at the right sale you can buy a Brand new LCD monitor for as little as $199

good luck,

Monitor come on for a few seconds then goes black, green signal light stay on green. can you help

the monitor may be losing the back lite. take a flash light or bright light and shine it at the screen after it goes black. can you see a faint picture? if so the back lite has failed. usually the cost of replacement exceeds the cost of a new monitor but there are a couple of web sites that detail the replacement of the "ccfl" cold cathode flouresecent light.

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

Sounds like either there is a bad connection from the computer to the monitor, or the monitor has a faulty power regulator, causing the monitor to overheat prematurely, and shut off.

The monitor comes on and then goes black.

Sounds like your LCD panel lamps are shutting down, this could be either due bad tubes, or more likely lamp driver power supply is faulty.

Monitor comes on, I can see everything perfect then goes black

"Most" newer monitors will let you know if the are no longer receiving a signal. Sounds like the backlight is burnt out. Try getting a bright (LED works best) flashlight and shining it at the screen at all angles to see if you can see any of what you were doing. If the backlight is on the fritz, either return it on warranty or buy a new one.

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

I start my computer and turn it on, and everything looks fine for about 1/4 of a second and then it goes black while leaving the power light green. I can only see the screen again after turning it off and on, but that's only for another 1/4 second. What's up?
I got my rosewill flatscreen as a hand me down from my father. I've had it for several years now. Was working fine until a month ago. When I turn the computer on the screen goes black after 1/4 of a saecond. I have to turn it off and on anywhere from 10 to 20 times before it stays on. I have checked all plugs to the computer and outlets. I have absolutely no idea whats causing this.

Repair manual

Problem solved! The main power thingy (the thing with the big red wire coming out of it) was all black and dusty. There was 'soot' all over the whole insides of the monitor. I concluded that this monitor should be laid to rest, and a new flat-screen monitor erected in its place.

Flashes on then goes black

The green light only lets you know there is a valid video signal reaching the monitor. If the green light was not "on" your problems would possibly be within the pc itself. Something is not holding the circuit for the backlight "on" thus going black. Suggestions are: 1. Take it to get it repaired (if not under warranty) Hyundai carries a 3 yr warranty on this monitor. Website provided. 2. Buy a new monitor http://www.hyundaiq.com/Eng/Customer/CusSvc/Csvc.asp
