Check the cables, make sure it is secure on both ends. Also see if you pull up the Monitors on screen menu.
As long as the light is green, that means there is a signal. it could be a bad monitor. Shut off all the lights in the room, then grab a Flashlight and hold it against the LCD screen while it
boots into windows. Can you see the desktop now, but very dimm? If you
can see the desktop, then connect Your PC to another monitor (if u have one or a friends, perhaps) and
boot it up, can you see the desktop on the other monitor fine?, then we just ruled out a Bad video card and narrowed it down to either a Bad Inverter in the Screen or LCD back light issue.
probally not worth fixing, because replacement LCD's arent cheap. nowadays at the right sale you can buy a Brand new LCD monitor for as little as $199
