Bought this item for samsing blu ray player to use with netflix. tried it our last night with the pandora and you tube. now that i signed up for the netflix when i go into the blu ray menu to access any of the internet options it says "Network is initializing" for about 7 minutes like its thinking. Then it gives up like its not picking up my router. Everything is working properly as far as router and internet connection. I just can't get the blu ray player/linkstick to pick up the wi fi.
Do me a favor first, shut everything down and unplug it all the tv the stick and the router and get back to me, thanks, I don't want you to spend money if there is no need,

Also the broadcast frequency on these are usually the same as a wireless phone, that's been a huge problem with the streaming aspect, and the further you get from the source, the spottyer it is. Try moving them closer together if possible to the router
Ok best buy has a live streaming called somethinh like live streaming studio, "forgot exactlly" I almost bought it, it was about $80 dollars, "they edidn't even know what it did", "geek squad" didn't even know it exhisted. They were annoyed when I showed it to tham on their store, and no one knew how it worked. But I read up on it, and it may work for you. It also had HDMI, I wanted to run mu movies from my PC into the media room, "I own a 3000 sq ft house in FL",and I was trying to stream HD from one side to the other. You already have the usb adapter, "that's why I didn't buy it" it was extra, so $160 was too much to throw on this thing that may not work, but I would have got it for $80. Just something to think about. The netflix should work with that a bluray, or a wireless N router, they have a wider bandwdth

Are you sure the router is compatatble with the wireless adapter, not all are. The "geek Squad" are pathetic at Best Buy and hanen't a clue. WirelessN is not always gonna work wit G. Also the password needs to be installed for any wireless device you install, If it's not asking for it, it's not seeing it. Go into properties of the blue ray on your network and see if you need to enable anything, also if no go, send me your router model and the adapter model so I can see if there are problems with these on the forums.
I really don't know if the router is compatable. I already had it before i bought the blu ray and link stick. ok i have....Belkin Wireless Router F604230 v2, Samsung Home Theater Blu Ray 1250, and Samsung Link Stick WIS09ABGN. I also have a Samsung television but we really want to do the netflix through the bluray instead of the television. Initially when we hooked it all up it worked. It took it a few minutes to pick up the signal like it was hesitating but it did picked it up. We used the YouTube and Pandora for about 30 minutes then we went to bed. The next day when i was going to sign up for Netflix the linkstick was taking about 10 minutes to try and pick up a wifi signal and it would then give up. Everything checked out on the wifi end as far as working. I signed up for netflix online on tried to pick up the blu ray player signal from there and it was a no go. Could you suggest a compatable wireless router? Any other advice would be much appreciated. Thanks so much.
ok everything is unplugged.
thanks for your help. it does ask for the password and will sync but i think the problem is the streaming like you said. it spends a lot of time trying to connect. first we're gonna call the cable company to move the router into the tv room. if that doesnt work we'll have to buy a stronger router. any other suggestions would be very helpful and much appreciated. thanks again.
