Scooter just beeps when key turned

5 beeps usually means scooter is out of gear, but since the lever is in the drive position and the scooter gearbox/differential is engaged, it seems that the controller is not sensing the gear change. Possibly a faulty micro switch in the motor housing can be the cause of this, usually the micro switch is pressed down by the drive lever and if the switch is pressed down the motor controller knows the scooter is in gear.

Your manual will tell you what the nine beeps mean. Sounds like the controller is faulty.

Make sure the free-wheel lever is engaged and the charger is unplugged from the scooter before you try to turn the scooter on. If the battery gauge goes up when you turn the scooter on and there are no beeping sounds you should be good to go.If the battery gauge drops to the red when you try to accelerate slowly, your batteries are shot. There is a yellow nob under the seat ,next to that nob there should be a picture that shows push up for lock and push down to unlock...


First make sure that you have the scooter off
Second make sure that the yellow nob is in the lock position
Third turn the key on that should cure the beeping ...

This happens alot ,when your brake is of the scooter will beep,letting you know the brake needs to be engaged .

So the Battery charger is showing a green light (Fully Charged ?) Can you tell me the MAke and Model of the Scooter ?

just have a check of the fuse could be a blown one ?? hope this helps regards Jim
