I m having with my sony dsc s930.its brand new.2 days later started having picture problem..when i take a picture..the picture will come out with lots of strips.horiszontal strips.the video works fine no strips or anything.but the picture taken have strips problem.can you please help me regarding this problem.thanks

have u fixed it since this post up? i am having the same problem. i placed new batteries and its still doing it. when it shuts off the lens is still out. i was think the new aa batteries were of poor quality but i doubt it that this will fix it. when i view photos it switches off, sometimes i jus need to switch on and it will automatically switch back off. arrgh
Camera froze probably due to overheating and condensation.Requiring battery to be removed to reset the computer inside. You need service, or put the camera in a dry p;ace and try again much later.
Do you have a cd for it? If yes, insert it and run the setup from the disc. If no, then you have to goto sony's website and search for your camera's driver.
1. 1st install Your camera CD.
2. plug in your cam with your pc or laptop via usb.
3. wait for detecting cam and installing.
4. restart.
5. if your in msn then you see u r msn connected with cam, if your in yahoo then login in yahoo messenger, then clock preferrence , then webcam, then select your cam then press ok and use it.

DSC-S930 does record sound and you can hear video clip sound by playback of Media Player in Computer. This camera does not have inbuilt speaker for playback sound but it have inbuilt mic to record sound, transfer recorded movie clip in computer and play it with media player to get sound and picture. Hope this info will help you.
Your unit is still under manufacturer warranty. I would suggest to have it repaired through a authorized Sony repair center under the warranty CLICK HERE for support for your camera. Good Luck! : )
Hello, The camera does not recognize the card because
1. Card not compatible 2. Camera cannot handle such a large capacity. 3.Card not inserted correctly. Maybe a recent firmware update can address the 2nd limitation.
