I have used every version of streets & Trips since 05, and have never had any issue with Win Media Player, currently using streets 2009 on one machine with Windows 7 RC1, which has WMP 11, and on another PC streets 2008 and Vista with WMP 11. You may need to change your default program settings for media back to WMP if you ever had another media player installed.
Two thoughts, go back, use Restore in system tools or download the WMP 11 (the link above) going to 11 may just fix everything for you... I was thinking you may have selected the wrong version like XP-64...the one you want is the first one on the page win xp
Hi Janworks4u. Question for you... Did your mp3 work fine with WMP 10? I ask because WMP 11 is known for causing problems w/mp3 players. You can try reverting to WMP 10 to see if that fixes your problem. To do this:
click START, click on CONTROL PANEL, ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS (look at the top center of the Add or Remove Programs box that pops up for a little square you can click on that says "show updates." Click that box and then scroll down to WMP 11. Click to change/remove. A box will pop up confirming that you will revert to WMP 10. NOTE THIS WILL NOTE DELETE ANYTHING FROM YOUR COMPUTER! All of your music that is in WMP 11 will still be there in WMP 10!
Now you can try to load your songs back on through WMP 10 and hopefully it'll work for you. Good luck!
Firstly a UPS is an abbreviation for Uninterrupted Power Supply - meaning emergency backup power in the event of a mains power failure. This is not a type of PC.
Secondly - Windows media player does not support every type of movie format, as Microsoft Update it from time to time, some formats will still not be supported, these are known as codecs.
Thirdly, codecs to support your particular format can usually be downloaded and added to Windows Media Player, however i can not think of any reason .wmv files are not supported by Windows Media Player.
You could try re-downloading the latest version of Windows Media Player from one of the links provided below. WMP 11 will support the latest codecs, but if for some reason you find yourself needing the older version, use WMP 10.
You will most likely have to remove your current version of WMP, and you can do this by using Windows Add/Remove programs.
Click on the Start menu button ( bottom left corner of your screen. )
