Car audio I have 2 amps in my vehicle. A phoenix gold mono amp driving 1 10' sub. An alpine 4 channel running 2 alpine 6 by 9 and 2 sony 6 by 9. I have 2 kicker tweets with crossover running off the front channels of the alpine along with the alpine 6 by 9.. Is this safe or is there a better way to run my kicker tweeters.

You will have to wire each sub to an individual channel. you cannot bridge the amp, because it is not stable at 2 ohms. You could bridge it if you wire the subs in series, but you will get more power by committing each sub to an individual channel.

Negative a any amp that is 60.1 or 1500.1 whatever it is .1 is a mono amp and needs no bridging. Some mono amps are set up like a 2 channel but they aren't bridgable they just add more options for wiring each individual sub to the amp...

if you have 2 12s just bridge them and you will have 650wrms at 2ohm running to them or one sub at 4 ohm 500w rms ps they should pump iam running 2 12s with just 360rms at 2ohm and they do the job good luck

Although amps with 5 channels are pretty rare, you can get one. Alpine, Boston Acoustics, Infinity, JL audio, MTX, and Polk all have 5-channels ranging in price from around $350 up to around $1,000. No, thats what you don't what to do. Even if you have 2 matching amps you don't do that. Every amp puts out different, and for 2 subs, you want to play at the the same time. If your only running 2 10's, I personal would just run the alpine (it's a mono amp made especially for subs) thats plenty for what you have. make sure you bridge them to get the full response. And your other amp i would use for your highs or mids, but run it @ stereo , which is 300 w @ 4 ohms. (Note: 600w @ 2ohms would be bridged and would play in Mono)

Building Competition stereo's is a big hobby of mine.

Sounds like one of two problems: either your subs are beginning or have gone bad, or you amp is going bad. What size power and ground wire are you using? You should be using at least a 4 gauge for both. Also what impedence are you running with the amp, ie; 4ohm mono, 2ohms stereo, etc?

That depends on what impedence the subs are. If they are 4 ohms each then just parallel them to the amp + to + and - to - on both of them that will give you a 2 ohm mono load which is fine for that amp.

if you wire the subs in parallel you would achieve 2 ohms which would theritically double your rms, sadly this isn't the case what with wire resistance and such you might get around 270 rms still not that bad. to wire in parellel you run a positive off the amp to the positive on one sub then run a wire from the first subs negative to the second subs positive the run from the second subs negative to the amps negative and bam 2 ohms but be warned this will put more stress on your amp and cause it to heat up faster. peace bro and best of luck
