Installed a generac 10k guardian standby generator 2 months ago and all was well,self test each week went fine until this week. Seems to have lost power, screen blank and can't reset? How can I get this up and running?

If you installed this 2 months ago, then you are still under warranty. You need to contact Generac directly before you try to fix yourself and void warranty. Not trying to offend, just being practical.

Your generator is equipped with a battery trickle
charger that is active when your unit is set up for
automatic operation. The trickle charger is
designed to help extend the life of your battery by
maintaining the battery when the unit is
not running.
you will need to review whichcircuit bord controls this and have that board replaced or serviced some of these gen heads have this built in and it will be the rectifier in the gen it self it will be a black 1x1x3/8 inch with a mounting hole in the center and 4 lug post for the wires replace this and your issue should be solved but consult your dealer for witch unit you have as to a control board external or the built in rectifier hope this helps.
If the generator is out of warranty, you can try spraying a short shot of ether into the intake of the generator as it is running rough. If the engine smoothes out for a few seconds, and returns back to original state, then it is likely running lean. Check the gas regulator (this is LP or natural gas I am assuming since it is standby), the vent may be clogged on the bottom of it.
I would say it is a matter of coincidence. If you are using utility company power the transfer switch doesn't engage, so you shouldn't be using the generic guardian.
I think that is the problem as well. Temporarily, you could just buy a tricke charger from the parts house and hook that up until your other one is changed. Rick
