Many models of the GE microwave have sensors that can detect humidity from the foods you are cooking. This allows the microwave to make adjustments to the power levels used to cook your food. If "Sensor Error" appears, you should either press "Clear" to cancel the mode or leave the food in the appliance longer to give the microwave more time to detect the food.
Press "Time Cook" to manually enter the time if you receive an error message when trying to use the "Sensor Reheat" mode of your GE microwave. The error message may be caused by the food item being too large or too small to detect.. good luck . please rate !

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control
panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very
helpful when troubleshooting, & testing.
At
our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical
over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.
If yours is a counter top model, you have to remove the outer cover, and the mini-manual will probably be in an envelope inside the wrapper.

I think you should check the fuse first that runs the magnatron if the fuse is good that means the magnatron is bad! but if its only the fuse then you save time and money!
You either have a bad magnetron tube (5 or 10 year parts warranty item through GE Factory Service 1-800-432-2737 or www.geappliances.com) or a shorted high voltage rectifier. I think the light being out is a secondary problem.
hi, The control board may need to be replaced, check your records to see if the unit is still in warranty, if it is call for repair. If it's not and you’re handy, you can find the part online and replace it yourself, just make sure you unplug it before you work on it. Please contact me if you need help.
