I still can't figure out how to reset my Whirlpool DU1055XTSQ3 it will not stop have only used it twice since it won't shut off just off warranty.

Press the stop button twice times and then press the power button after that choose wash cycle also choose wash options after that press the start button to complete the reset button

Only the first year. As all washers. F51 is a error for RPS sensor, it ends up as a kit w/wire harness.

How are you resetting it?

Press the cancel button twice to cancel the error code. There should be an error code flashing -- for example 'F02'.

That is correct Lowe's and HomeDepot both do not have any service tech's working for them but refer you to the manufactures for in home warranty service

Try to Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to see if it will reset the machine.

Type in the model number you provided and your owner's and installation manuals are available in a downloadable .pdf (Adobe) format. Save to your computer and/or print a copy.

the thermostat should be replaced it only has one on the upper eloement, it has the dial on it to set the temp, but if it is only 3 months old it comes with a 1 year parts 6 year tank warranty, if you call whirlpool and tell them about this problem they will have there own teck or sub contractor that they use to come out and fix it for free,,, first go to there web site and put in your serial number and it will tell you how old the unit is, sometimes they sit for a while and are actually out of warranty before it is installed,, also did you install it your self?? if you did di you fill it with water all the way till the water came out of the hot side on your faucet full force before turning on the electric,, if not you have fried the whole unit, you will need to replace both elements and the thermostat, the elements must be completely submerged in water before they have the power turned on,,,

have they checked the thernals on the bottom of the tub

will these units (silo and jtrip) start back on their own? if so, it is likely they are heating the water.
otherwise it sounds like a logic board, unless there is a defective door switch or sensor issue.
electronics seem to be a recurring problem with whirlpool.
i would ask whirlpool (electorlux) to either buy it back or fix it.
