MY OLD FAITHFULL POWERMASTER 760 WOULDN'T HOLD AIR CHARGE I REMOVED ALL THE SCREWS ON THE RECIEVER HOUSING AND PROCEEDED TO INVESTIGATE. THATS WHEN THE PROBLEM DEVELOPED. I NEED TO FIND A SCEMATIC DRAWING TO REASSEMBLE IT. ALSO NEED A PARTS KIT TO RESTORE THE GUN IF THEY ARE AVAILIBLE. I KNOW I COULD BUY A NEW ONE FOR UNDER $40, BUT THIS ONES ONLY 37 YEARS OLD AND HAS BEEN WORKING GREAT UNTIL THIS VERY ABRUPT FAILIER.

The trick to assembling the trigger mechanism is to assemble the trigger parts on the left half of the receiver. This will leave the v shapped spring hanging out the bottom of the trigger guard. I assembled the barrel to the right side of the receiver and then but the two halves together. loosely attached the halves with the two long screws. I then used a jewlers screw driver to work and hold the end of the V spring behind of the safety button hole. At this point I inserted the safty button into the hole as I gradually removed the screw driver. Then clamped down the attachment screws.

I spent some 2 hours figuring this trigger assembly out and another half hour putting it together. The biggest mystery was the use of the L shapped part. It ends up being assembled to the trigger pin. the cleat catching the back of the trigger and the long side of the L laying against the left side of the receiver (pointing up). The small tention spring ingages the back of this L shapped part (just above where the cleat ingages the trigger) and the other end of the spring ( the straight end) rests against the bottom of the receiver.

There's an exploded view available on the crosman website.
That's how I fixed mine.

Thanks for the answers here. With the descriptions and photos, I was able to get my old 760C back together. Turns out all it needed was some oil in the pump chamber (just like the little sticker says..."3 drops". Ha!) But taking it apart gave me a good chance to clean and oil everything. Plenty of crud in there from the last 20+ years. It's back together and shooting nicely.

I followed j-momkelly's instructions on the trigger assembly with one change. When reassembling the trigger, I put the safety button in, and used the spring to hold it in place. As long as the big side of the button (left side of the receiver) was flush with the plastic, it held in place nice and tight as well as straight. Then the left and right sides of the receiver went together nicely without too much coaxing. The exploded view on the crosman sites above helped immensely as well.

I could also use a good diagram or repair instructions for putting trigger section and housing back together. Gun is about 30 years old.

Lost key for trigger lock for Crosman 760 Pumpmaster. Where can I find a replacement or get the lock off without breaking it.

As the trigger guard is only plastic and molded with the side plate, I would take it to a Locksmith as they have specialty tools for this. This may cost a few dollars, it's better than damaging your riffle.
