Use a dvi - hdmi convert cable and connect via the dvi-d cable on the cintiq instead of the analogue. should have been your first move as it is alot cheaper than an external vga card

Wacom cintiq tablet video isnt working

If you have Windows Xp, try right-clicking on your screen, click 'Propetries', then click the "Settings" Tab, then there will be a picture of two screens - one has a number 1 on it, and the other has number 2. Click on number 2 and raise the "color quality" from Lowest (8 bit) to Highest (32 bit). Also, take the "Screen resolution" up to about less than half way. Then click "Apply". You will get a prompt asking if you really want to do this, so just hit yes. Your screen should turn on immediately after that.

Ps. After you do this, hit "Identify". There should be a giant number 1 on your computer, and a giant number 2 on your tablet.

I have a problem with my Sony vaio tablet pc. When ever I turn it on it says "Windows could not complete installation. To install Windows on this computer restart installation.

I dont know this tablet unfortunately ,but a lot of this type of equipment has whats called "embedded" software which means basically the operating system is inside a component(chip) on the motherboard ,usually it can only be flashed with extraneous equipment.
This is in relation to other types of equipment which either include the option to reinstall the os on from the hard drive or stuff with drives so you can re-install from disc.
Embedded software makes this type of equipment small and thin,as opposed to having a drive, advantages are it is shockproof and small.
Im sorry i cant help you any more ---good luck!

I just got a cintiq 12wx and when I plugged it in it worked immediately with my intuos 3 driver but had a message in the middle of the screen. uninstalled the driver and installed latest wacom cintiq...

I had this same problem and just had to go into my system preferences on the imac and select display and then select/check the mirror monitors and now it is on sync-hope that helps! After I did that though my color is off on the cintiq so I am looking for suggestions on how to fix it as the calibration did not fix the problem.

We had the same peoblem with our tablet: no sync/ go to sleep. We tried re booting the computer-no luck. We tried turning on and off the tablet.-no luck. The solution for us was simple: unplug the power source, wait a minute, plug it back in. Voila! It worked. I know we had a power outage the night before, so perhaps the problem was associated with the outage.

Hope this solution helps someone!

Wacom 12 wx cintiq

I had the same problem at first but managed to solve it. In my case I was setting up in tandem with another monitor and once I had correctly set the pixel dimensions of both monitors and set them to to 'mirror' mode it works pretty well. The only issue now seems to be a slowing of stroke speed ie the cursor lags behind my strokes. I have downloaded a new driver but not installed yet. Does anyone else have this problem?
