In most cases you find that the flex that connects the cpu and the scan engine is faulty or out of alignment. Try to cold boot the device or if it's out of warranty you can open it and realign the flex. Other than that you have to send it for repairs.
Try to restart datawedge, that solves the problem most of the time. If that doesn't work the scanner may need to be sent in for warranty repair work (hopefully it's under warranty). Unfortunately/fortunately the scanner module is a simple device which usually works or it doesn't. Not much to diagnose there.

Looks like laser head does not work and cannot be recognizied by scanner.
It's usually a scan engine problem but as you've already replaced it it could be ribbon cable or CPU board connector problem
